The Anti-Kick hardware simply replaces the standard striker plate with 48” of attractive white steel. Combined with (9) 3.5” heavy duty screws that drive into the studs behind the door frame, the unit provides immediate and permanent door security. Fortifying the door jamb is a critical step overlooked by most homeowners – and that’s why the Kick-Ins remain the #1 method of burglar entry. An Anti-Kick Yard Upgrade sign advertises that your home is the hardest target on the block.
Q: Re: Installation - What is the difference between Door Devil™ and other leading products?
Short Answer - Door Devil™ is a "surface mount" security product, thus will save appx. 1.5 hours in installation compared to the less expensive, but more complex "sleeve"or "wrap" style products.
Detailed Answer - The Door Devil™ door security unit simply mounts to the surface of the door frame, which does not require the door frame to be dismantled, the trim/casing to be removed, or finishing nails cut. The "sleeve" style door security products require those steps and signifcantly increase the complexity and time required to install.
FACT: Statistically, 7 out of 10 burglars will attack your door.
QUESTION:
Why do so many homeowners invest in quality Alarm Security Systems, yet neglect the very place they will be attacked?
ANSWER:
Historically, simply adding 3 inch screws was recommended.
This was inadequate security. Only in the last 2 years has proper door frame reinforcement and door security been emphasized by Crime Prevention leaders. Much of the public didn't know such an affordable and effective solution existed.
Adding door frame reinforcement security is not a replacement for a burglar alarm, but rather a necessary partner that makes the alarm system more effective.
Typical installation is approximately 30 minutes. Instructions to accommodate a 2nd deadbolt are included with the package.
Installation Notes:
• Unit affixes to outside of door frame (no need to remove door trim/casing)
• Typical installation is 30 minutes -
